This wiki has been designed for Drama and Dance educators to share ideas for incorporating New Technologies in their classroom.
Currently within the education community there is a great push for teachers to move away from the conventional and proven ways of teaching towards the need to incorporate new technologies into the classroom. This is also required of us drama and dance teachers but as our subjects are so practical based, how do we incorporate them into the classroom? Of course its possible to use technology in productions; lighting, sound, recording equipment, projections, etc., are examples of technologies currently applicable to our subjects. But what new technologies can be pedagogical technologies? iPads, digital storytelling, Facebook, blogs, WIKIS, animations, the technologies available to us are endless as are the opportunities to use them.
Use this wiki to add a lesson or unit plan that you have created. Tell us how it went if you have implemented it: did it crash and burn or was it a stunning success? This is a place to share ideas; so be creative, be open and lets get educated!
